The second series of BBC One’s Sunday night drama Poldark returns to screens this week, with a cast including graduates Jack Farthing, Hugh Skinner (LAMDA), and Kyle Soller (RADA). The first series of the 18th century saga set in Cornwall peaked with 9.4 million viewers in 2015.
Returning for series 2 are Jack Farthing (Blandings, The Riot Club) as ambitious young banker George Warleggan and Kyle Soller (Bad Education, The Hollow Crown) as Francis, Ross Poldark’s cousin and inheritor of the Poldark estate.
Hugh Skinner (W1A, Fleabag) joins the cast as a new character, Unwin Trevaunance, a prospective MP who hopes that heiress Caroline (and her fortune) will consent to marry him.
Poldark will air on Sunday nights on BBC One from 4 September.
