Alumni round-up – October 2018

See graduates of the Conservatoire Member schools on stage this October:

Matthew Bourne’s revival of Swan Lake tours this month to Leicester, High Wycombe, Edinburgh and Aberdeen. The cast features dancers Dominic North, Nicole Kabera, Katrina Lyndon, Michaela Guibarra, Milwhynne Williams, Tom Broderick (Central), Harry Ondrak-Wright (LCDS), Stan West (NSCD), Liam Mower, Jonathan Luke Baker, Megan Cameron, Bryony Harrison, and Nicholas Keegan (Rambert School).

Rambert are touring Life Is A Dream by Kim Brandstrup (LCDS), performing this month at Llandudno and Salford. The company features dancers Sharia Johnson, Adam Park, Stephan Quildan, Kym Sojourna (Rambert), Pierre Tappon, Nancy Nerantzi (LCDS), Brenda Lee Grech and Jacob Wye (Central).

Eleanor House (BOVTS) features in Rebus: Long Shadows at Birmingham Repertory Theatre until 6 October.

Jyuddah Jaymes (BOVTS) features in Twelfth Night at the Young Vic, 2 October – 17 November.

Alice Kerrigan (BOVTS) features in The Sweet Science of Bruising at Southwark Playhouse, 3 – 27 October.

Richard Alston Dance Company tour Mid Century Modern from 3 October, performing this month at Bromley, Brighton, Swansea, Northampton and Woking. The company features dancers Ellen Yilma (LCDS), Jennifer Hayes (NSCD), Monique Jonas, Nicholas Shikkis (Rambert) and new apprentices Melissa Braithwaite and Jason Tucker (Rambert).

Northern Ballet tour The Three Musketeers from 4 October, performing this month at Nottingham, Newcastle, Sheffield and Canterbury. The company features dancers Rachael Gillespie, Ashley Dixon, Hannah Bateman, Harriet Marden, Harris Beattie, Ayca Anil (Central), and new apprentices Matthew Morrell and Julie Nunes (Central).

Kirsten Foster (BOVTS) plays Desdemona in othellomacbeth at the Lyric Hammersmith, 5 October – 3 November.

Etta Murfitt (LCDS) is Choreographer for Wise Children at the Old Vic, 8 October – 10 November, and plays the role of Nora. Ankur Bahl (LCDS) features in the cast.

Igor and Moreno (LCDS) present Idiot-Syncrasy at The Place on 9 October.

Ballet Black present a Double Bill at Theatre Royal Stratford East, 10 – 13 October, with dancers Sayaka Ichikawa (Rambert) and Mthuthuzeli November (Central).

Julie Cunningham (Rambert) presents new work at Sadler’s Wells as part of Reckonings, 11 – 13 October.

Nikki and JD present Knot at Jacksons Lane on 11 – 12 October, with National Centre graduate Nikki.

Gregory Doran (BOVTS) directs the RSC’s Troila and Cressida, at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre 12 October – 17 November. Andy Apollo, Geoffrey Lumb and Leigh Quinn (BOVTS) join the cast.

Jacksons Lane presents Pink Bucket 3: Of Spirit on 13 October, with acts by National Centre graduates Vendetta Vain & Sadiq Sadiq, and Charlie Caplan Wilson.

Rosie Nicholls (BOVTS) presents a work-in-progress of her debut play, Solo, at Southwark Playhouse on 14 October. Fellow BOVTS graduate Georgia Frost joins the cast.

Phoenix Dance Theatre present Phoenix At Home at the Stanley & Audrey Burton Theatre, 18 – 20 October. The company features dancers Vanessa Vince-Pang (Rambert), Carmen Vazquez Marfil (Central, NSCD), and Natalie Alleston (Rambert, NSCD).

Akram Khan (NSCD) presents Chotto Desh at Sadler’s Wells on 18 – 20 October.

Nadia Clifford (BOVTS) features in The Mysteries at the Royal Exchange, Manchester, 25 October – 11 November.
