We are a conservatoire of world-leading schools training artists and production professionals in the disciplines of dance, drama, circus arts, and technical theatre. 

We receive over 3,500 applications a year for our higher education programmes. We audition or interview every eligible applicant.

Our higher education programmes are validated by the University of Kent and the University of the West of England.

Our student body is small with around:

  • 811 undergraduate students
  • 187 postgraduate students
  • from 52 different countries.  

88.9% of students new to higher education are from a state school background.

57% of Home/EU students new to higher education receive some form of financial support.

Students participate in professional productions every year, with some productions touring across the UK and Europe.

Alumni who trained at Conservatoire schools have been nominated for 88 National Dance Awards and 129 Olivier Awards.

Conservatoire school performances, exhibitions and events attract around 200,000 visitors annually.

Children and adults participate in around 18,000 days of classes and courses per year.
