While the Conservatoire is keen to foster diversity amongst its schools, it also promotes a set of shared values and aims:
- Preparing students for direct entry into careers in the performance professions at the international level where they will shape the future of the art forms of dance, drama and circus
- Providing intensive and rigorous training in a professional setting
- Equipping students with the technical skills, artistic understanding and knowledge of safe practice necessary for achieving sustainable careers
- Drawing out the development and achievement of the individual student
