The Conservatoire fosters artistic collaborations between the eight schools and with external organisations. Some of these are long-standing relationships, such as the links between Rambert School and Rambert dance company; Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and the Bristol Old Vic Theatre; or the annual Design for Dance project, which sees students from Central School of Ballet and Rambert School collaborating with students from Central St Martins. Others are discrete projects or events, some of which are student-led with support from Conservatoire staff. Recent collaborative events have included a skills-sharing weekend at Northern School, where students led and participated in workshops, and an intensive at Rambert School to create cross-disciplinary, site-specific work.
Below are a few examples of recent and ongoing artistic collaborations. You might also be interested in some of our research and knowledge exchange projects.
